Hemlines: Le Chteau Celebrates; Blogger and Designer Team Up

Dubbed The Emilia Tour, the events will feature a performance by recording artist Emilia singing the single Young and in Love from the fashion-centric film. Le Chteau provided much of the wardrobe for the film.

The free event will take place at the downtown Vancouver shopping centre's Le Chteau store on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

After the Ball, which stars Lauren Holly, Chris Noth and Portia Doubleday, hits theatres Friday.

Vancouver blogger, jewelry designer partner on new collection Vancouver fashion blogger Cara McLeay of A Fashion Love Affair (AFLA) and jewelry designer Melanie Auld have teamed up to release a collection of nine fashion jewelry pieces.

The release features gold-plated rings, necklaces and earrings with cubic zirconia stones priced from $59 to $149.

"The collection perfectly intertwines Cara and Melanie's esthetic and style," according to a news release. "Inspired by the classic elegance of circles and triangles, the pieces are timeless and effortless." Thirty per cent of proceeds from the sale of the collection will be donated to Canuck Place Children's Hospice. Fraser Valley Wedding Festival returns for 10th year Brides-to-be in Vancouver and the Fraser Valley can get the ultimate wedding hit at the 10th annual Fraser Valley Wedding Festival on March 2.

The event, which is scheduled to run from 4-8 p.m. at the Cascades Casino Resort (20393 Fraser Highway) in Langley, will feature local vendors for food, fashion and more.

"It is just so much fun," event producer Tamara O'Brien said of the event in a news release. "I want brides to be able to meet, mingle, and sample!" To celebrate the milestone year, all attendees will receive a free swag bag at the door, and will also be entered to win an all-expenses-paid wedding. Tickets are $10 (free for brides) and can be purchased at the door. One dollar from the sale of each ticket will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Call It Spring taps Brooklyn artist Mike Perry for new collaboration Canadian footwear purveyor Call It Spring is getting a boost of Brooklyn style.

The trendy shoe seller announced its partnership with artist and designer Mike Perry to create a capsule collection of shoes and accessories set to launch March 1.

The limited-edition collection, which features an exclusive print dubbed "Friends" on men's and women's sneakers, sunglasses - and more, marks the first collaboration for the Montreal-based company.
