rade-only
jewelry exhibitions of the year: Couture, Premier, JCK, AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) and The Las Vegas Antique Jewelry and Watch Show.
Industry insiders know it as jewelry week. Jewelry designers, manufacturers and dealers from different parts of the world all come together in the city of luck and playing the odds to take a chance on which of their new treasures will win over the attendees. Here is where the brightest of up and coming designers shine, the established houses unveil new concepts and collections and rare and signed antique and vintage jewelry will be discovered.
I have been attending and reporting on these shows for many years, scouting out trends, the most talented emerging designers and uncovering authentic and exceptional antiques.
When the shows come to a close, I will be back at my computer reporting on the different directions and hot items in modern jewelry and whats trending in the antique and vintage markets.
Right now, I am in pre-game mode and I am an avid antique jewelry collector as well a historian, Therefore I am anticipating what I will see at
The Las Vegas Antique Jewelry and Watch Show
and thought it would be fun and educational to share a preview of some of the exhibitors and their awe-inspiring jewels from different decades. Many of these dealers are on Instagram and you might want to follow along with them and have a peek at the pieces that are leading up to the show on their feeds. The leading exhibitors represent rare finds from jewelrys history, pieces you might want to consider if you are building an antique/vintage jewelry collection.
In this preview, I have gathered looks reflective of different times throughout jewelry's past to help you to determine your particular style and if you are more drawn to one time period or find something intriguing about them all. Post-show I will be discussing the different ways of how to build an antique/vintage collection.
