How to Wrap the Horseshoe Nail Cross with Wire

Horseshoe nail crosses are meant to symbolize the nails that were hammered into the cross, and are becoming a popular adornment for Christians. One way to make the horseshoe nail cross more elegant is to wrap the nails with a precious metal wire, such as sterling silver. This will make the cross more classy, and will enable it to match other sterling silver jewelry that you may have.Place two 2-inch long horseshoe nails next to each other onto a table top, arranging them so that they are facing opposite directions with the heads of the nails facing away from each other. Make sure that the nails are overlapping each other about 1/2 inch.Place two more 2-inch long horseshoe nails horizontally across the vertical nails, with the heads of the nails facing away from each other. Make sure that the nails are overlapping each other about 1/2 inch.Cut four pieces of wire with wire cutters to measure 8 inches long.Wrap one piece of the wire around the bottom portion of the cross, starting at the bottom and working your way to the area where the nails meet in the center.
