亚马逊宣布为太空互联网星座项目设计柯伊伯天线
据外媒报道，当地时间12月16日，亚马逊公布了其客户接入该公司即将推出的大型卫星星座项目Kuiper的天线设计，该项目旨在从太空提供宽带互联网覆盖。 该天线采用相控阵设计，已于今年秋天进行开发和测试。亚马逊表示，该天线直径仅为12英寸，比传统天线设计更小、更轻。 测试表明该天线可提供高达400Mbps的最大吞吐量。 该公司还指出，这种天线可用于从地球同步卫星传输4K视频。 地球同步卫星是位于地球上空约22000英里（约32000公里）的航天器。不过，亚马逊柯伊伯卫星将距离地球更近。 今年7月，亚马逊获得美国联邦通信委员会（FCC）批准，为柯伊伯项目发射由3236颗卫星组成的卫星群。 航天器的飞行高度范围为590公里至630公里。 由于如此多的卫星靠近地球运行，柯伊伯项目将为地球上的个人用户提供低延迟宽带互联网覆盖。 其目标是为无法访问传统高速互联网的偏远地区和地区提供覆盖。
